Tips for Renovating Your Kitchen
Does your current kitchen fit your needs? If not, it may be time for an upgrade. The kitchen is the most-used space in many homes, so if it isn’t up to snuff, renovating it can be a great investment. That’s why today Mr. Licorice and I want to give you a few tips for renovating your kitchen:
1. Mix open shelving with functional hidden storage. Open shelving is big these days. However, if you have a lot of things to store, mixing open shelving with hidden storage can offer the best of both worlds.
“Today’s designers are getting more creative.”
2. Opt for bold colors on the cabinets. White had its day, but bolder hues are more popular now. You’ll probably start seeing more greens, purples, and blues around kitchens because people want spaces that show off their personalities.
3. Consider unique flooring. Sleek stone and tile will always be in, but today’s designers are getting more creative. They’re mixing up dark and light woods, choosing herringbone patterns, and using reclaimed wood to add character.
4. Go multipurpose. The kitchen isn’t just for eating and cooking anymore. Many work from home, attend classes, and get some exercise in the kitchen. Accommodate their needs, and you could net a big return on your investment.
